Insurance Currency

Need to get current for your annual insurance review? P&C aviation has four full-time Cirrus Standardized Instructors on staff, ensuring that we can handle your recertification quickly and efficiently.

The currency process takes about a half-day, and is similar in scope and process to a biennial flight review and/or instrument proficiency check, as applicable. We take the time to fill you in on recent Cirrus news, special emphasis areas, and any other time-sensitive material pertinent to the Cirrus community.

A typical currency review may include:

Ground

  • Current Cirrus and FAA special emphasis areas
  • Cirrus Systems and avionics
  • Emergencies and abnormal procedures
  • Handling and Service, as applicable
  • Weight and balance, performance data
  • Limitations

Flight

  • Preflight, Startup and Taxi operations
  • Normal / Crosswind takeoffs and landings
  • Short field takeoffs and landings
  • Performance maneuvers review
  • Stalls
  • Instrument Procedures as applicable

Special emphasis will be placed on items such as power and airspeed management, checklist usage, runway incursion avoidance, and other Cirrus and FAA special emphasis areas as appropriate.

We invite all of our clients to accomplish a thorough review of the POH prior to the checkout and make notes of any questions or weak areas to review.
